      Mildred Marian Presswood "Middy" Wright, ?-1989, was born and educated in Calgary. She graduated from the Calgary General Hospital School of Nursing in 1933, and in 1935 took a position as Staff Nurse at the Blackfoot (Siksika) hospital in Gleichen, Alberta. During the Second World War she was a nursing sister and served in the South African Military Nursing Service as well as in North Africa and Italy. She married James Plant in 1945 and they lived in Calgary and near Okotoks, Alberta. Mildred was a member of the Calgary General Hospital Alumni Association and the Overseas Nursing Sisters Association. The Plants had two children, Marian Elaine (Bell) and James Presswood.
