Scope and content

Sub-series consists of 1553 photographs documenting over thirty of Hemingway’s projects from 1963 to 1981. The photographs include pre-construction, construction, and post-construction views. Among the projects documented in the sub-series are Central Pentecostal Tabernacle (1963 and addition in 1972), Johnstone Walker Store, Coronation Swimming Pool, Edmonton Inn, Meadowlark Park Shopping Centre, Stanley Building, Prairie Mall Shopping Centre, Market Square Kitchener, Chinook-Ridge Shopping Centre, The People’s Church, Stony Rapids Hotel, Muttart Conservatory, Castle Downs Mall, Lynnwood Extended Care Centre, Maduke Residence, and others. The photographs were largely taken by Charles H. Machtans Studio, Alice Baumann, Roper Photography, John Fulker, and Graham Warrington.
