Biographical history

Philip C. Keeley, 1892-1962 was born in Manitoba and grew up in Oregon, USA. In 1910 the family moved to Stanger, Alberta where Philip was involved in freighting. In the First World War he served as a flying instructor for the Royal Air Force. On his return he operated a sawmill near Stanger and a store in Sangudo, Alberta. In the Second World War he served in the Royal Canadian Air Force as an instructor in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. He and his wife, Loa Carey, had one daughter, Ferrol.
