Biographical history
Alex “Pat” McAleenan (d. 1988?) was from Bambridge, County Down, Northern Ireland. He emigrated to Alberta in the late 1920s, and worked as an itinerant labourer on farms and oil rigs. He appears to have eventually settled somewhere in the Fort Macleod district. By 1981 he was living in a seniors’ lodge in Fort Macleod while spending the winter in southern Arizona.
