Biographical history

Douglas Riske, 1945-, studied theatre at the University of Alberta and the Banff School of Fine Arts. His English-born wife, Paddy Campbell, 1945- , was an actress who started writing plays when her children were young. In 1970 they moved to Calgary and created the Arts Centre Theatre Company which produced Paddy's children's plays in the Allied Arts Centre. In 1972 the couple formed Alberta Theatre Projects with Lucille Wagner. Doug was artistic director and Paddy wrote many of the company's original works. In 1983 Doug resigned from ATP, and in 1987 he and Paddy joined Sunshine Theatre in Kelowna, British Columbia. For further information see Joyce Doolittle's entry, "P. L. Appraisal, destruction and scheduling
