Biographical history
The President's Executive Advisory Committee approved the establishment of the Olympic Coordinating committee since it was felt that the University needed a vehicle for internal communication between all parts of the University associated with the Olympics. The first meeting was held in February, 1986; the last meeting was held in February, 1988. Dr. Fin Campbell, VP (Priority and Planning) was the Chair of the committee; the Vice Chair was Dr. Brian Tinker, VP (Finance and Services). The committee was comprised of operating managers and administrators who were involved in the University's Olympic planning process. The committee was the liaison between the Board of Governors and the the various Olympic committees (Olympic Building Committee, Olympic Program Executive, Olypmic Marketing Committee, Olympic Village Committee and Advisory Committee on Olympic Related Matters)
