        History

        John Olson, 1895-1983, was born in Sandnes, Norway and in June 1915 immigrated to Minnesota. Around 1916 he became foreman of the Myers farm at Cayley, Alberta. John returned to Norway in 1919 to marry Anna Mortensen, 1900-1984. In 1924-1925 the Olsons purchased a farm near Cremona, Alberta where they raised their family. They retired in 1962 and lived in Red Deer, then Calgary.
