Pittsburgh on February 24, 1923. Katherine (as she subsequently spelled her name) continued on to the Crowsnest Pass area of Alberta and in April 1923 married Tomasz "Tom" Oczkowski, 1885-?, a Bellevue coal miner. Thomas was born in Juszczyna, Poland and had come to Canada in 1912. The Oczkowkis lived in Bellevue until 1928, when they moved to a farm near Lundbreck. They had three sons and three daughters, Charlie, Stanley, Frank, Anna (Leskowsky), Wanda (Suminski), and Mary (Chalmers). They retired to Calgary in 1957.
