Biographical history
Myrtle Viola Cochrane, 1905-1981, was born in Bright, Ontario and moved with her family to Lacombe, Alberta in 1912. She was a switchboard operator at Alberta Government Telephones (AGT) and later at the Provincial Courthouse, in Calgary, retiring in 1970. She was a violinist and played with the Calgary Symphony (later the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra) for forty years. She was also active in the Calgary Women's Musical Club. Her husband was William Paget.
