Shirley Evelyn Myers was born in Edmonton and spent most of her life in Alberta. She was active in the Home Economics Association, serving as President and Head of the Alberta Agriculture branch before her retirement in 1993. She then moved to Penticton to care for her elderly parents before passing away herself in 2015.
