Biographical history

Melvin E. Jackson was a businessman from Seattle, Washington, USA. In the 1920s he and his associates took over Coal Mine No. 104 at Diamond City, near Lethbridge, Alberta and established the Consolidated Diamond Collieries. At the same time he was investigating mining possibilities throughout the state of Washington. The company closed the mine in 1928.
