        Charles Wilfred McMillan, 1864-1944, was born in Erin, Ontario and settled in Calgary, Alberta in 1888. He helped A.E. Cross establish the Calgary Brewing and Malting Company and was treasurer and manager until his retirement in 1933. McMillan was a member of the Kiwanis, Renfrew Club, Glencoe Club and Calgary Golf and Country Clubs and the president of the Alberta Motor Association. He and his wife Elma had three daughters, ? (Clinch), Carol (Manning), and Ruth.
