        Dorsey Dalton McDaniel, 1870-1956, was born in Clinton, Iowa. He moved to Carstairs, Alberta in 1902 and purchased the Two Bar Ranch. McDaniel settled in Calgary in 1920. He was a founder of the Alberta Wheat Pool and the Alberta Livestock Association. McDaniel onwed the High River Ranch, west of Cayley, Alberta. McDaniel married Daisy and they had three sons, Donald McDaniel, Rod R. McDaniel and J. R. McDaniel, and two daughters Jeanne, and Mrs. R. H. McMillan.
