Canadian author and playwright Max Braithwaite was born in Nokomis, Saskatchewan, on December 7, 1911. Biographical information available in Who's who in Canadian literature 1987-88, p. 43.

Acquired in 1986 and 1990. Accession 656/99.13 donated by Mrs. Aileen Braithwaite. MsC 308, consisting of a letter from M. Braithwaite to James (Jim) DeFelice, September 17, 1977, donated by J. DeFelice in 2001.
