Biographical history
Maurice M. Joseph Ingeveld, 1880-1955, was born at Oudenarde, Belgium and trained as a cavalryman in the Belgian Cavalry and the French Officer's Riding School. In 1905 he came to Canada to train horses for the Count de Roaldes and R. de Malherbe at Millarville, Alberta. He homesteaded in 1907 but returned to Belgium in 1910. He came back to Canada to start the Victoria Livery Stables in Tilley, Alberta. In 1912 he married Alodie Biebyck, ?-1956, and they moved to Belgium in 1914. They returned to Millarville in 1927 with their three children, Marthe, Nina (Lochead) and George.
