Biographical history
Mary Isabelle McCormick, 1924-2010, was born in Calgary, Alberta and was educated at the University of Western Ontario and the University of Toronto. She married Urban Guichon, 1918-1993, and they had five children, Gregory Michael, Anne Marilyn, Mary Carolyn, Juliet Ruth and Brian Joseph. She was active in numerous community organizations including the Calgary Women's Liberal Association, the Calgary-Buffalo Liberal Association, the University of Calgary Senate and the Consumer Advisory Committee. She ran, unsuccessfully, as a federal Liberal candidate in the 1972 election.
