History
Born in Taishan, China, he moved to Manitoba as a child and later became a teacher, small businessman and politician. Mark's political career started when joined the Board of Directors of the Dauphin First United Church. He was subsequently elected to the Dauphin town council in 1991, and became the town's mayor in 1994.
He served as a Member of Parliament 1997-2010 with the Reform Party of Canada and its successors the Canadian Alliance and the Conservative Party of Canada. Her resigned in 2010 to unsuccessfully campaign for another term as mayor of Dauphin. He then joined the Green Party and attempted to run in the 2015 federal election.
