Biographical history
Majorie Innes Budd, 1922-2006, was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia. She attended Acadia University and graduated in 1943 with a degree in commerce. She worked for Acadian Lines in Halifax until 1955 when she moved to Calgary, Alberta to work for Tom Moody Ltd., and electrical appliances business operated by her sister and brother-in-law, Alice and Tom Moody. In 1966 she earned the degree of Certified Management Accountant and then worked from 1967 to 1985 with Amoco Canada Petroleum. Marjorie was active with the Junior League when she first moved to Calgary and later became an avid genealogist.
