Biographical history

Malcolm Taylor, 1915-1994, was principal of The University of Alberta, Calgary from 1960 to 1964. He was a strong supporter of an autonomous University of Calgary, and, as principal, promoted the 1961 Banff Conference, "The Design of the University of Alberta, Calgary". After working to establish the U of C, he helped build the University of Victoria as president from 1964 to 1968.
