Biographical history
Les Sharlow, ?-1984, joined the Calgary Highlanders in 1939. He served overseas with the regiment during the Second World War, rising to sergeant. From the early 1950s until 1963 he served in Calgary, Alberta with the militia. He then worked as a clerk for the City of Calgary. His wife's name was Marie.

The fonds consists of a panoramic photograph of the Calgary Highlanders in England (1941); photographs of Highlander pipe bands, boxers and social events (1941-1959); the Highlander regimental journal, Glen (1939-1945); and programs for various Highlander events (1945, 1982).
