Biographical history
Leo Charles Lane, 1887-1969, came to Calgary, Alberta before the First World War and worked for various firms including the United Cigar Stores. He served in the First World War, first at the internment camp at Castle Mountain (Eldon Flats) and later overseas. He was stationed at the No. 11 Supply Depot, Calgary during the Second World War and later retired to Oliver, British Columbia. He and his wife, Mollie, had two children, Joyce (Newton) and Leo C., Jr.
