Biographical history

Lawrence Peter Peterson, 1873-1951, was born in Utah, USA, and homesteaded near Barnwell, Alberta in 1902. He married Minnie Bell Golsan in 1900 and they had six children. He was chairman of the Taber Irrigation District, 1919-1922, and sat in the Alberta Legislature as the United Farmers of Alberta (UFA) member for Taber, 1921-1930. He was active in the Mormon Church.
