        History

        George Krause, 1901-1989, was born in Russia and joined the Royal North-West Mounted Police (RNWMP) in 1919 and served until 1923. He re-enlisted in the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) in 1933 and served until 1954. He was based at Fort Macleod, Banff, Lethbridge and Stand Off, Alberta. Krause attained the rank of sergeant and died at Calgary.
