History
Rufus Kimpton, [ca. 1859]-1934, was born at South Roxton, Quebec and at a young age travelled in the USA. He travelled west in 1883 and lived in Calgary, Alberta. The following year he moved to Donald, British Columbia, but when the Canadian Pacific Railway (CPR) moved its divisional point to Revelstoke he moved to Lake Windermere. He and his wife had one son, Vaughn.
