        History

        The Kerby Centre was established in Calgary, Alberta in 1973 to provide services and programs for older adults in the region. It has grown into one of the largest agencies of its type in Canada. Among its offerings are an Adult Day Support Program, Centre of Excellence (community-based research centre), education and recreation activities, Elder Abuse Response Team, food services, grocery delivery, information resources service, a newsletter "Kerby News", Kerby Rotary Shelter, wellness clinic, clothing shops, and diversity services.
