        Kenneth George Kendall, 1904-1964, was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, USA and came to Calgary, Alberta in the 1920s. He trained as a pilot and received his license in 1930. He worked for Great Western Airways. In the 1930s he also trained as a military officer and after the Second World War worked at Defence Research Board, Suffield, Alberta. He maried Jean I. Milton, 1904- , and they had two sons, Donald and Jerry. Jean Kendall trained as a nurse at the Calgary General Hospital.
