Biographical history
Joyce Sasse was a United Church minister for many years. She retired to Pincher Creek, Alberta and has been active as a playright, writing scripts about various figures in Alberta history. Sasse writes a blog "Country Preacher's Notebook", parts of which were published in Country Preacher's Notebook: Books 1 & 11 (?-1997). She is also the author of The Rural Church in Action: A Handbook for Members (1988). A video of her play on Father Lacombe was published as Man of Good Heart by Joyce Sasse, Doris Metcalfe, Maurice Joly and Stephen Crowshoe (2004).
