Biographical history
John Weidlich, 1961- , was born in Edmonton, Alberta. He was awarded a Bachelor of Journalism degree at Carleton University in Ottawa, Ontario in 1983. He subsequently pursued a career in broadcast journalism; in 2006 he was a reporter with CBC Radio News, based in Regina, Saskatchewan.

The fonds consists of recorded interviews of Senator Ernest C. Manning (successor and protégé of William Aberhart) and Ola MacNutt (daughter of Aberhart); and a radio documentary, “We Mean Business”, on Aberhart’s use of radio as a medium in politics, which John Weidlich produced as his Honours project for his journalism degree.
