Biographical history
John S. Moir lived in Owen Sound, Ontario before moving to a ranch south of Maple Creek, Saskatchewan around 1900. The first ranch was on Farwell Creek and then he moved to Davis Creek. He and his first wife had two children, Jack and Pearl; he and his second wife, Annie, had at least one child, James S., 1914- .
