Biographical history

John Moore "Jack" Cousins, 1892-1980, was born in Montreal and came to Calgary, Alberta in 1902. His father, Arthur, was a Canadian Pacific Railway (CPR) engineer and then a City of Calgary engineer. Jack served in Europe with the 4th Army Troops Company, Canadian Engineers from 1914-1918. Jack's relative, George W. Taylor, served in the Canadian Army Medical Corps in the Middle East during First World War. Jack worked as a salesman and insurance agent from the 1930s until his retirement in the mid-1960s. He and his wife, Mary S. "Birdie", had two children, Bev (Ostrosser) and Fred Taylor.
