Biographical history
John Campbell Shillabeer, 1883-1966, was trained as a physician and came to Alberta in 1910 as medical supervisor for the Grand Trunk Pacific railway construction crews. On the railway's completion he worked for the Yellow Head Coal Co. until 1914. He then moved to Nordegg as the doctor for Brazeau Collieries. In 1927 he moved to Wetaskiwin and on his retirement in 1945 moved to Vancouver. He and his wife, Effie Moore, ?-1966, had one son, John E.
