Biographical history

Joe Hayes, 1924-2005, was born at Maycroft, Alberta and at the age of twelve moved with his family to Eureka River, Alberta. In 1942 he and a friend, Tom Tate, went to work at the Bar U Ranch. He left in 1944 to join the military. He later moved to Dawson Creek, British Columbia.
