Biographical history
Jean Helen Gauld, 1902?-1984, moved to Calgary, Alberta with her father around 1914. She won many awards for her Highland dancing, and by the age of 14 established herself as a professional dance instructor. She expanded her range to include ballet, ethnic, and modern styles. Later in her career she taught at Mount Royal College and the Montessori School of Calgary.
