Biographical history
Jean Andrews was probably born in the 1920s. From the 1950s until her death in 1992 or 1993, she took photographs of Calgary, Alberta. For a time she worked as a hand-colourist of black and white photographs and later worked as a cook at the Continental Coffee Shop in Calgary. In 1974 she was volunteer coordinator at the Vocational & Rehabilitation Research Institute (VRRI) where she also established their reference library.
