Biographical history

James Ley Douglass, 1865-1937, of England took a trip to western Canada from August to November 1886. He travelled from England to Montreal, then to Calgary and Okotoks, Alberta before returning via rail to New York. While in Alberta he stayed at the Quorn Ranch and visited the Cochrane Ranche. A relative, possibly his nephew, Leslie V. Douglass, emigrated to Alberta from England in 1904 and settled at Finnegan.
