Biographical history
James Hamilton Keys, 1906-1992, was born in Dublin, Ireland and trained there as an opthalmic optician. He worked for various firms in Dublin, including his own company which specialized in all forms of optical goods. During the Second World War he trained as a physician and in 1959 moved to Rabbit Lake, Saskatchewan. Keys soon moved to Breton, Alberta, then to Boyle, Alberta (1962-1967). From 1967 until his retirement in 1980 Keys worked in Didsbury. The Keys retired to Calgary. James H. Keys married Kathleen and they had one son James B., 1932- .
