Biographical history
James Boyd McBride, 1888-1959, was born in Scotland. He studied law in Scotland and at the University of Alberta, and was called to the Bar of Alberta in 1912. He married Alison Bowman-Fisher in 1917 and they had two children. He became a KC in 1934, a judge of the District Court of Alberta in 1944, and a Justice of the Supreme Court of Alberta in 1946.
