Biographical history
James Albert Webb, 1869-1954, was born in Grafton, Ontario and joined the North-West Mounted Police (NWMP) at Winnipeg, Manitoba in 1891. He was discharged in 1896 and lived for a time in British Columbia. In 1902 he began work as a farm instructor and ration-issuer for the Department of Indian Affairs on the Blood Reserve in southern Alberta. He remained until 1914 when he re-joined the Royal North-West Mounted Police (RNWMP) and served until 1932. Webb was stationed in Regina, Fort Macleod, Lethbridge and Stand Off. He retired to Fort Macleod, Alberta.
