        Alton David Irvine established Irvine and Austin, a real estate, loans and fire insurance partnership with Arthur Graham Austin, ca. 1903. The business was located at 706 Centre Street, Calgary, Alberta. For some time they were agents for the Ottawa Fire Insurance Company. Irvine and Austin was in existence until at least 1910. Irvine also operated Irvine's Gents Furnishings Store in Stavely, Alberta ca. 1909. He married Adeline Mary Robertson in 1904 and they had at least one child, Doris.
