        Kenneth C. Hurt, 1930- , was born in Black Diamond, Alberta and attended Turner Valley High School. His father, Robert M. Hurt, was at various times a rancher, banker and painter in the Black Diamond and Okotoks area. Kenneth joined the Royal Canadian Air Force in 1951 and served at numerous bases in Alberta, Ontario, Germany, England, France, Belgium and British Columbia. He enrolled as an administration clerk and was promoted through the ranks to captain. He retired in 1979 to Red Deer.
