        Herbert Everett Hunt, 1883-1965, was born in Miami, Manitoba, and as a young man lived in Dauphin, Manitoba, where his father, Robert, was an agricultural machinery salesman. In 1911 he married Margaret C. Browne, 1882-1987?, who was born in Cork, Ireland. They had one daughter, Jeanne (Sill). The family moved to Alberta in 1922 and lived in Stettler, Calgary, the Crowsnest Pass, and Lethbridge before settling in Fort Macleod in 1932. H.E. worked as an accountant and was active in the Macleod Health Society, Macleod Credit Union, and Masonic Lodge. They moved to Calgary in 1953 where H.E. worked as a timekeeper for the Department of Public Works.
