      Village was created out of the bequest of two "seigneuries" done in 1677 by Frontenac. The off-spring of the first Lord Belanger still farm family land. The Temperance Cross built in 1843, the church in 1768. It is an example of the Louis XIV and Louis XV style, cautiously crafted by artisans of Nouvelle-France.
