Biographical history

Harvey Hanson, 1890-1978, was born at Fulton, Wisconsin. He went to school in Spokane, Washington and later moved to the Hand Hills region of Alberta in 1912. Hanson was naturalized in 1915 and the same year married Nellie Wheeler. They had six children. The Hanson's soon moved to the Namaka area where Harvey was a founding member of the Alberta Wheat Pool and active on the board of the United Farmers of Alberta. The Hansons separated in 1933 and Harvey lived at Balzac. He retired to Calgary and married May Bennett in 1972.
