Consists of a bound book of original letters and telegrams solicited by the Vancouver Sun on the occasion of the Sun presenting a painting of President Warren G. Harding in Stanley Park, Vancouver on July 26th, 1923. Harding's visit was the first visit of an American President to Canada. The letters and telegrams are expressions of goodwill between the two countries for friendship and peace.
The letters and telegrams received by the Vancouver Sun are from the Prime Minister of Canada (William Lyon Mackenzie King), governors of states, premiers of provinces, American and Canadian newspapers and universities.
