Biographical history
Andrew Gustaf Anderson, ?-ca. 1949, was born in Sweden and emigrated to the USA, working as a coal miner in New York and Pennsylvania. He later moved to Belt, Montana. He married Emily Eisler, ?-ca. 1954, and they moved to Alberta in 1902. Anderson later re-married Ellen Hawkins. The Andersons farmed in the Mayton district, northeast of Olds, Alberta. Gustaf invested in several Alberta businesses, including Spiller's Mill in Calgary. They later lived in Bowden, then retired to Olds. Emily and Gustaf had one son, Reuben Silas Anderson; Ellen and Gustaf had one daughter, Vera Lucile Anderson Moritz.
