History
Hubert Unsworth Green, 1884-1962, was born in Paris, France and educated in London, England. He came to Canada in 1901 and worked as a cowboy near Bow Island, Alberta. He joined the Royal North-West Mounted Police (RNWMP) in 1907 and served at Medicine Hat, Writing-on-Stone, Coutts, and Grassy Lake in Alberta; and at Boissevain, Killarney, and Dauphin in Manitoba. While at Dauphin he wrote nature articles in Forest and Stream, under the pen name Tony Lascelles. In 1932 he retired and later moved to Banff, Alberta. He and his wife Agnes E., ?-1975 had one son Hubert E., 1914-2002.
