Biographical history
Glen Leslie Krebs, 1898-1990, was born in Fayette County, Iowa, USA. He moved to a farm near Castor, Alberta at an early age, and in his early teens was sent to the Case Tractor Factory for training as a mechanic. During the First World War, at the age of 16, he joined the Canadian Army and because of his mechanical training served in the motor pool in France. He drove trucks and served as a motorcycle messenger. In 1923 he moved back to the USA, although many of his relatives remained in Canada.
