History
Vera W. Andrews, 1909-1979, was born at Davisburg, Alberta. She attended Calgary Normal School, and began teaching at Davisburg. After her marriage to Thomas A. Gillespie she taught in Turner Valley where they lived for a time, later moving to the family farm at Davisburg. She and Thomas retired to Calgary. She was involved in a number of organizations including the Progressive Conservative Party. From ca. 1970-1971 she was president of the Alberta Social Credit Women's Auxiliary, Calgary Buffalo Constituency.
