Biographical history
George Oswald Shaw was a businessman in Dawson, Yukon Territory, and operated the Klondike Nugget and Ivory Shop for many years. He also served as an Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) in the territorial legislature. He received the Order of Canada in 1973 for his contributions to the development of the Yukon. Shaw retired to Richmond, British Columbia.
