Biographical history
George Cullis Lancaster, 1887-1978, was born at Cedar Springs, Ontario and came to Calgary, Alberta in 1906. He worked for the Western Commercial Company, then took over the Fisk Tire Service Company in 1918. He was an alderman, 1936-1948, a director of the Young Men's Christian Association (YMCA) and Red Cross, and in 1951 was president of the Calgary Board of Trade. He and his first wife had one daughter, Joyce B. (Savage). In the 1950s he married Mildred Alice Hickey, 1910-1997, who had one son, Dan.
